Dr. Peter Shaw
Dr. Shaw started practicing general dentistry in San Diego in 1981, as a part-time associate of Dr. Charles B. Armstrong, while teaching full-time at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Peter Shaw received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and his dental degree from Stony Brook School of Dentistry, in 1979, graduating with high honors. He has been engaged in the teaching of dentistry since his graduation, both at Stony Brook University and Loma Linda University School of Dental Medicine.
For more than a decade, Dr. Shaw has been independently teaching his own courses, both in the United States and abroad. In 1992, Dr. Shaw was elected to membership into the two most prestigious dental academies in the world, the CAIC Academy and the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and is the only active General Dentist member from San Diego. Dr. Shaw is also a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity, ADA, CDA, SDCDS and an Advisor and Founder of the Rotary Thousand Smiles Foundation.
